Myotherapy treatments focus on detecting and deactivating trigger points (or muscle knots), which may be referring and causing increased pain and or discomfort. What to expect from our Myotherapy Elwood Team?

The consultation itself will usually involve a thorough assessment, where the therapist will ask questions relating to your goals, as well as assessing the movement of your joints and strength of certain muscles. Your therapist will provide you with information relating to your condition, as well as advice on appropriate exercises and stretches, hot and cold therapy, taping or activities to avoid. Your therapist may use a variety of hands on techniques with the aim to decrease pain and restore normal mobility. Whilst Myotherapy techniques can be powerful, they can also be quite gentle and all the way through the consult, the therapist will ensure you are comfortable.

Initial consultations are 45-60 minutes. A review consultation may be between 30-60 minutes depending on the complexity of your condition.

We are centrally located in Elwood with the entrance to our Wellness Centre on Docker Street. There is plenty of parking available and we are easily accessible via public transport if required with the Elsternwick train station just around the corner or make use of bus 600 or 246.
